MILICA TANCIC
WORKPLAN | 2019 September
I am planning to work on my body placement and awareness by using the right muscles do do the movemets. To gain control over my body as a whole and to get into the relation with my surroundings, to improve the precision, gain simplicity by learning to dance smart, gain deeper presence in every move. Also to overcome the body image issues by nutrition control and right physical exercises. To set daily goals and tasks and put constant effort into progress.
Since this is an entirely new field for me, my plan is to learn how to clearly transform my ideas into movement, find the right methods to fulfill my goals, to let the movements define the character of the dance and not otherwise, to find the right solutions to the creative problems I will face, and to find my unique approach to creative tasks and develop my ''style''.
SUMMARY | 2019 December
I came to this first semester a bit scared – with high expectations from myself and the end goals in my mind. But then I realized all the time and effort it takes with day to day practice to actually see results, but longterm. I started to gain patience.
I also gave myself a huge workplan, which is to be done for a long period of time, but it's helpful that I have a reminder of those things.
I am also grateful for all the help and understanding I got from classmates and teachers to get used to the system. I figured how open this surrounding is, and how much I could have been more openly inquisitive and curious, asking is not a crime.
I came across a whole new level of self reflection, which I needed time to get used to. Listening to myself, trying to understand, writing down, analysing. Realizing the responsibility I have towards myself and my progress, it all depends on me.
Bringing more awareness to the body came slowly, but I was excited when I felt more in control and continued following it's development. It's a lifetime task, but I feel I have grabbed it.
I realized one emerging problem, which is my lack of openness towards the audience, my surroundings. Maybe I got too immersed in myself that I forgot to bring it out, but I definitely have to work on my confidence.
Individual work is a great challenge and opportunity. Finding motivation for every single one of them was difficult, but I found fulfillment that comes from independent, self organized work. For the next period I think I will prepare myself better for them.
Regarding creative work, I had difficulty starting something and realizing it. I felt a bit lost and unprepared for it, I didn't know what tools to use, since I found myself with all existing possibilities in front of myself. I got completely confused and overwhelmed. But since I participated in some projects, I saw the ways of dealing with creative tasks, so I think next period will be more successful.
I think the conclusion is that I am satisfied with my choice to come here, that I have started an inspiring journey with a lot of lessons already taken, and many ahead. I feel I have to start trusting people more and be more open to them and overcome my insecurities to start the next stage of improvement.

General notes to the group:
Dear Students!
The goal of the regular written feed back is to help both teachers and students to get a different perspective on your daily work, to get a wider time frame on your development including where you come from and where you go to. The feed back has three parts: general notes to the group, individual feed back and assessment.
You may not know the table that compares and explains different assessment systems we have shared with your teachers as well:
https://tanc.org.hu/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/grading-system-BCDA.pdf
Concerning the work we have realized together this semester I think that it was efficient by it's regularity, discipline, sincerity. You know yourself how deeply, but I can tell in general you seemed to follow the values and guidelines offered by the school. Some of you were more active others less but nobody ignored and went against these possibilities.
This fact was reflected in your successful presence you performed in the three pieces presented in Trafó, where ALL the participants of each dance could show their maximum, and it's level was pretty high in general.
Congratulations to You, and thanks to your teachers!
Iván
Personale notes:
I am really glad we both decided to grab this one year for cooperation, I think it was the maximum what you could achieve in these short four months: you worked very open, very calm, very persistently, changed habits bravely. I hope you have enjoyed this new role. I hope next few months will be the same useful to prepare your further studies. Iván

General notes to the group:
I am delighted with the work of the class, both on the individual and on the group level. This first half of the year has been characterized by focused, intelligent work. You all had different struggles. Some, on the physical, some on the mental&spiritual plane. But I appreciate your hard work and resilience, how you faced your problems and insisted on solving them. Therefore, I am going to award the whole class with excellent grades. Each one of you deserved it, but for different reasons: some for better technique, some for the systematic, consistent, persistence work. I am giving you all the trust, that it will be a stepping stone into the second half of the year, and that you keep up the spirit for the second part of the season. Stay focused on your goals, stay sharp.
Personale notes:
You have integrated yourself very well and fast into the group to the point where I wouldn`t be able to tell that you are the newcomer. Now I am inviting you to take more initiatives, entertain, and challenge yourself in the ballet class. You could as well bring the group with you.
Bakó Tamás
You were motivated and active in the classes. Keen to learn observe and engage. The material of the class is not foreign to you. You have lot of history and knowledge in dance but I could sense that you need time with accommodating and landing. You have a good understanding of the body. Coordination, relationships and arranging of the body and movements, spatial coordination and orientation are well organised. And there is lot of other availability too but some fidgeting and insecurity also. Take time with understanding and observing. Find more stability and tranquil in the organisation of the movements and posture. Establish your foundations. Create more support and awareness towards structure and alignment to harness efficiency, fulfillment and freedom.
Keep up the good work!
WORKPLAN | 2020 January
Since I have gotten used to the academy schedule and working system, my focus on the next semester will be gaining more security and stability in my movements, growing from the base I have established. Trying more to connect the different kinds of knowledge from every practice- to deepen the self reflection, and focus it more on the present.
I'd like to work on my self confidence and overcome insecurities. I know it's a long and hard work, but I need to channel myself and open to the world.
Continue working on my core strength and muscle tone. To continue working on clarity and cleverness of movingand gain security by that.
Regarding my creative plans, I'd like to start a research on my own and if it turns out successful, to continue working on it and create a piece.
The main goal is to gain maximum from the time I have here and develop technically ,artisticaly and personally.
SUMMARY | 2020 June
I's the end of my first year in BCDA, and the only one I will spend in Budapest as a student, next one brings new locations and challenges. But with this time spent here, I gained and grew so much. I learned to dare, and I still do, to open myself to others and to the world. The importance of sharing, but also working on what to share. I learned to be braver, and realized how much I still have to work on it. I was given a lot of time and space to spend on myself, and it's a demanding task to confront yourself daily, to plan, sense and observe and reflect. And especially in the last few months where it was more prominent that ever. I had to learn to plan – more carefully than ever, to find liberty in creativity, to find patience and motivation, and find solutions to problems I never faced alone, and to work completely by myself for myself. And however difficult it was, however disappointed I may be for cancellation of all the performances and plans and visions we had; I had to embrace the situation and figure out how to get most out of it. And I think the time I had in the school from September equipped me with enough tools to overcome this period with a feeling that I used the most of my time the best I could. When I came here I didn't even know how much I didn't know. But I was glad that I was able to experience it firsthand, and learn to learn. Learn to be patient. Learn to be responsible for myself, to make conscious choices and stand behind them. To trust myself. With ballet it was a completely new experience to find a way to be playful, to know the rules but also know when I can use them in a new, different way; to personalize the practice and view it from different angle. To give it a purpose. Kristof's suggestions and corrections are really helpful, they are something to think about not only in ballet class, but with everything we do. Folk classes are something that really surpassed all of my expectations. They aren't only about dancing, they are about life. Life of dancing. And the energy is amazing, as well as the knowledge that Batyu was selflessly giving us. But I think I only truly started to understand it in the last weeks. Yet I am grateful that I had the opportunity to work on something so complex. And it made me seek for self confidence and courage to face myself learning a new thing. All of the contemporary classes and workshops gave me not only more richness to my movement language skill set, but also inspiration and creative insight of the teachers. I cannot say that I'm completely satisfied with where I am now, but I know where I want to be, and this year gave me a great starting leap. Finding my body and mind throughout all of the classes was not an easy task, and I struggled with my self doubt. Even though I didn't experience as much performances, I am very grateful for the opportunities that I had and the people I worked with. I think I have grown up, a little bit. I am curious what will the next year bring, but I am readier than ever to face it.

General notes to the group:
Minden egyes tanulónál a fegyelem, az akarás, odaadás, odafigyelés van. Ezzel nem kellett foglalkozni. Ennek eredményeképpen a tanult táncok ritmusában, stílusában, egységében, tánc típusában érthetőek, helyén vannak és stílusosan vannak eltáncolva. Mindenki a saját szintjének megfelelően teljesít (maximálisan). Ehhez ők is kellettek. Azért nem írok egyesével véleményt, mert látom, hogy mindenki tisztában van a teendőjével.

General notes to the group:
Dear Students! I think your group as a group could build up itself and you reached a very high level of cooperation by the end of the year: You have learned a lot from each other, You helped each other, You accepted and supported each other. The life was calm and moderated, even tempered. That is good for the calm development, accumulation. you did it and learned from it. The same time I think that you haven't gone really close to each other, didn't lived big cathartic moments together, you tolerated and respected each other so much that you were allowed to do anything, may be nobody would warn the other if anything happened. May be I am wrong and it happened time to time, just I remained out of those exciting, red-hot flaming situations, so valuable for an artist. May be you had them somewhere else and not in the school. The life in school was free from the active ignorance of the rules of cooperation, and active adversary actions. I gave more space and time to mistakes and omissions, misunderstandings, and it was very much up to you if you lived with certain possibilities or you missed to profit from them. I think it was a good strategy. Who and when wanted, to do something could learn from it, and who didn't want or couldn't was allowed to loose that possibilitiy. It's very good to know that (almost) all of you seem to find a good solution for the next year, I think we could encourage and help you. With the 7 of you we have to speak about the next year's common tasks and possibilities. I will be strict about my evaluations.I think you ALL developed a LOT, and you ALL can SUCCESSFULLY further develop. When I evaluate your development satisfactory or excellent I make a difference of how far you could get if you did everything possible. Especially with last year students I also wished to relate your actual state to an external general level of a beginner professional dancer.
Personale notes:
I am very glad to have spent this year together in a calm, focused, independent, talented development. I am looking forward to get informed on your trajectory and will be open to answer doubts and questions whenever you would need it.
Mikó Dávid
General notes to the group:
This special period was a great opportunity to develop your own working methods. As you can see, circumstances can change quickly, so it is worthwhile to create a system in which your professional life can remain constant. The individual work you further develop and extend into other areas of your life will make you independent of world conditions. Thats the true power and freedom when you draw your path with your own hands … and it's persistent, continuous, never-ending work. Enjoy the flow!
Personale notes:
Developed a lot, but still there are things to work on it. I suggest dynamic type movements maintain for a longer period, to make the body stronger / louder.
