On June 13, 2023, the New Performing Arts Foundation, with the support of the BCDA Senate, transferred the maintenance rights of the Budapest Contemporary Dance Academy it founded to the Circus Arts Higher Education Non-Profit Limited Liability Company established for this purpose.

On 14 June 2023, the appointment of Iván Angelus, founding rector of BCDA, expired, a position he had held since the Academy’s founding in 2004. The New Performing Arts Foundation, in agreement with the new owner, has appointed Kamilla Reidl, former Deputy Rector for Coordination, as Rector, to take up this post on 15 June 2023.

From 1st August 2023, the institution continues its work as Budapest Circus Arts and Contemporary Dance College (BCDC). The new name reflects the expansion of the College’s training structure and the diversity of its artistic disciplines.

From September 2023, after four years of preparatory work, the college will offer a BA in Circus Arts and a BA in Circus Dance. It will also continue to offer the BA in Contemporary Dance and the MA in Contemporary Dance Teacher. The MA in Circus Art Teacher is planned to be launched in the 2nd semester of 2023-2024.
