Máté graduated at the Hungarian Dance Academy in 1999. He started his career at the Szeged Contemporary Ballet; and since 2003 he has worked at various European companies as a dancer (CarteBlanche – Norway, Lanonima Imperial – Spain, Ultima Vez – Belgium). Amongst others he worked with Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Amanda Miller, Myriam Naisy and Wim Vandekeybus. As a choreographer he debuted in 2010 with his work OneManCrowd.

At his classes the main focus is on the floor work and on the different partnering techniques. He also makes everyone to put special attention on the ability of transformation within the body, and in the way of thinking about movements.
